Appoints committee chair people. Maintains contact with organization advisor and national organization. Represents organization at official functions and attends recognized student organization meetings. Vice President Main
responsibilities: Assume duties of the president as needed. Serve as ex-officio
member of standing committees. Represent organization at official functions.
Maintain contact with organization alumni and affiliated companies or other
organizations.
Treasurer Main responsibilities: Keep all financing records of the organization. Pay bills and collect organization dues. Prepare and submit financial reports to professional chapter as well as national by designated deadlines. Secretary Main
responsibilities: Create and distribute agendas for each meeting. Keeps and
distributes minutes of each meeting of the organization. Collect organizations
mail from advisor or wherever mail is received.
Membership Coordinator Main responsibilities: keep record of all members of the organization, keeps record of all activities of the organization, notifies all members of meetings. MAES Outreach Coordinator Main responsibilities: organize and
develop projects to be done with middle school students every meeting of the
program, develop and maintain program’s budget. Maintain communication with
teacher at middle school.
Webmaster Main responsibilities: Maintain update website for organization, including having all organization activities and meetings on website calendar. In accordance with other MEP organizations, activities and meetings may also be needed to be announced through our organization’s website. Historian Main responsibilities: Maintain records
of all organizations events by keeping soft copy (e-files of items such as
pictures, sign-in sheets, and any other necessary documentation needed for
event), as well as hard copy (printed copies of documents in a folder to be
referenced back to in future).
Graphics Chair Main responsibilities: Create and distribute forms of advertisement (flyers, banners, and handouts) to promote all of organizations events and meetings. Recruitment Chair Main responsibilities: Main duty is to recruit new members by outreaching at events such as week of welcome, engineering open house, engineering 101/102 presentations, etc. AESB Representative Main responsibilities: Attend meetings for AESB and report any important event that affects our organization. Also report all of our events and meetings at these meetings in order to outreach to more potential members. LSU/MEP Representative Main responsibilities: Attend meetings
for LSU/MEP and report any important event that affects our organization. Also
report all of our events and meetings at these meetings in order to outreach to
more potential members.
Logistics Director Main responsibilities: In charge of purchasing all necessities for events and meetings. Works with treasurer to designate budget for each meeting and they decide what is appropriate to purchase. Event Coordinator Main responsibilities: Schedules and coordinates
all organizations events and services for organization. Must attend all
necessary orientations to become ASI event planning certified and hot food certified.
Fundraising Chair Main responsibilities: Work with event coordinator to organize events that could potentially bring in revenues to the organization. Also responsible in drafting up proposals to be sent to affiliated companies to gain funding for events, projects, and conferences. |
