![]() 3rd Annual Spring Science Extravaganza! Friday April 13th, 2012 What is the Science Extravaganza? Science Extravaganza (SE) is an all day event that aims to provide middle and high school students the opportunity to participate in a series of exciting, hands-on STEM based workshops and laboratory experiments. The event aims to introduce and inspire students to pursue careers in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM). The students will have the opportunity to meet and work with engineering students and faculty, as well as have tours of the various engineering facilities and workshops. Currently, Science Extravaganza is scheduled to take place on Friday, April 13th at CSULB. How can you participate? SE is open to any middle schools located in the greater Los Angeles and Orange Country areas. Unfortunately, space is limited (~500 students) and we can only invite a limited number of schools. Low income schools, schools with high underrepresented minority populations, and LBUSD schools are typically given priority, but all schools are welcome to apply. Applications will open in late October. Interested in volunteering? If you are interested in volunteering, please fill out one of our volunteer forms. Students, faculty, professionals, and student organizations are all welcome to volunteer.
